Merchandise! (not really)
The last of my tsunami of JOAN material, dvd cases and labels that were made for the double bill that was, frankly, the social event of the season. First is the less appalling "Letty Lynton", followed by the train wreck of social progress, "Torch Song".

Two JOAN posters...
Of varying levels of atrocity, one of which carries a bloated asterik.
Torch Song! A film that's offensive in so many ways, though it's most famous for Crawford's inexplicable use of blackface in a musical number. The film shouldn't be allowed to hide from that. Oh, and it was made in 1953. And most unsettlingly, it seems the use of blackface was something that MGM was proud of:

"I've broken yooou..."
The last scene of "Torch Song": Joan Crawford's character glides in like
a Dalek and exterminates everyone. Genuinely terrifying.

JOAN etching
Any attempt to portray JOAN in a medium that doesn't require the usage of fire and acid is a pointless endeavor. Another piece in my tidal wave of material for JOAN month. I'm staggering the blogging of it to make it appear that I'm a functioning human thing.
